We are once again auctioning the top ten student-designed rugs, at Orange Skin in Chicago! These rugs were custom-fabricated in Nepal following the competition submittal specifications. All profits from auction proceeds above $500 per rug will go to the student designers. Starting bid for each rug is $1,000 (these rugs are normally priced around $6,000).

I just had this rug made in Nepal by Tibetan weavers. Although it won tenth place, there were 100 submissions to the 2008 Oscar Isberian Rug Design Competition. It’s 6×9 and will be going on auction through Leslie Hindman Auctioneers at OrangeSkin, 223 Erie, on Tuesday, October 28. Thanks for asking!
